Located in the Cedric Rucker University Center, also known as the campus living room, the Office of Student Activities and Engagement (SAE) oversees over 150 recognized student organizations that vary in type from social, cultural, political, service, religious, and other special interests that offer a wide range of activities throughout the year. SAE also offers leadership opportunities, can help students start a new club, and help support a variety of campus-wide events and traditions like Eagle Gathering, Family Weekend, Homecoming, the Big Spring Concert, Devil Goat Day, and more.

Students can also find honorary societies sponsored by most academic departments as well as major-specific events. Student-run campus publications and radio provide outlets for students to share their thoughts and talents. The University has a weekly newspaper, The Weekly Ringer, a campus radio station, WMWC, and the Aubade Literary and Art Magazine.
